Community Art Newsletter - June 2025

Hello everyone,

It’s already June, and by the time you read this, we’ll be getting ready for a busy summer of community events!

We hope you enjoyed the recent VE Day celebrations, especially the postbox toppers and the British Legion’s commemoration day. There was something for everyone to enjoy.

Although we’ve had a delay with the mural garden this year due to illness, we’re hoping it will be ready soon. If you enjoy gardening and would like to help out, we’d love to have you join our friendly team. Together, we can keep the garden a peaceful and beautiful place for everyone.

This year, we’re adding a fun twist in celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Walt Disney. You can create and display either:

• + A traditional scarecrow

• + OR a Disney character (there are even scarecrows in some Disney films!)

This event is open to everyone – families, businesses, schools, community groups, churches – the more the merrier!

So grab those costumes you used for World Book Day and help us turn Upton and Lytchett into a fun-filled wonderland.
